Behind the Saddle

SaddleBack Western is a family owned online retailer of fine western furniture and home decor. We are located in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, in the Highlands/Cashiers area. Our goal is to provide quality products in an open and honest selling environment where you know who you are buying from. Our names are Dan and Jennifer Garthwaite, and we are partners in life and in business. We are the owners of Clear Creek Furniture Works. SaddleBack Western was born from the inspiration of Jennifer's sister who is in country music business management.

Our Business Philosophy

Being consumers ourselves, we know how some retail businesses can be; they see you only as a sale and once that sale is complete their relationship with you is over. We've all experienced this, and other things as customers, and it sure doesn't give you a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. We want to be the business that gives you that "warm and fuzzy" feel. One thing we will never do, is inflate our retail prices in order to make our price look like a sale. We do offer sales on our products, and when we do, you can be assured that we are actually discounting our true retail price and not an inflated price.
 
Customer Service

We will do everything we can to make your shopping experience enjoyable and to fix any problem that may arise. One of the ways that we do this is to provide you with accurate product descriptions, details and available options so that you can be an informed online buyer. Buying online can be a frustrating experience when you can't seem to find all of the details you require to make a decision. Online shopping will never compare to the experience of actually being able to see and feel a product up close but we try to make the process a little bit easier.

Our Suppliers

We focus on manufacturers and suppliers that are committed to quality and back their products with a guarantee. Many of these suppliers offer a Lifetime Warranty, which shows just how confident they are in their products. These types of products are oftentimes viewed as heirlooms that will be passed down through generations. A vast majority of our products are Made in America by American workers. Many of these are custom made to order, and are built by talented craftsman right here in the USA.

We respect your privacy and will never share your information with anyone. The only emails you will receive from us are your order notice and receipt, unless you choose to sign up for our newsletter (we hate spam too). This is defined in our privacy policy.

Our checkout process is secured with the latest 256-bit encryption SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and is up to date with the latest PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance standards.

This is where we feel we go "above and beyond" all other online merchants.

If we don't have exactly what you are looking for we will do our best to find it, even if it means sending you to someone else. This goes to show just how committed we are to you, the customer. And even though in an instance like this, you wouldn't technically be 'our customer', we think this instills a trust and fondness for us that will pay us back in the long run.
